Whitewater Falls

Tim has a missionary heart for his hometown to love those close to him yet far from God. He is husband to Dusti and father to Nolan, Aiden, and Adelyn - fellow pilgrims to our celestial city.

My description of this image:

This picture does not do justice to the majesty of this falls. Dropping 411 feet, Whitewater is considered the largest falls east of the Mississippi River.
This image was taken in broad daylight, so slow shutter speeds to capture flow was simply impossible. After taking a few photos from the observation deck (seen here), we were convinced that we needed to see this baby up close. Four hours later and through forest, rock hopping, and climbing, we made it to the base.
Other images of this beauty to follow . . .

  1. Timmy, have you printed many of your photos? If so, do the digital prints still seem to appear “flat”? Or do DSLR’s not have this problem as with the common digitals?

Great waterfall! Not sure how you fit all the traveling in…smile.

  2. Lisa,

At this moment, I have not sent any of my photos out to print. However, in the near future, I plan to place an order with MPIX.

I am not aware of the “flattening”, but I will ask around with some friends who shoot DSLR’s and get their input.
