This Week . . .

Tim has a missionary heart for his hometown to love those close to him yet far from God. He is husband to Dusti and father to Nolan, Aiden, and Adelyn - fellow pilgrims to our celestial city.

My wife and I made it back to Louisville at 1:00 a.m. today.  After a long night sleep, I am beginning to get things in order, both in my life and in my thoughts.  It does not help that this week is also finals week, including a paper to turn in.  In any case, here’s what you can expect as a follow-up from the True Church Conference:

1.  TCC Photo Bundle 4

2.  TCC Summary and Personal Reflections

3.  TCC Compilation Post

4.  The Sound of HeartCry

5.  Additional 50 photos on the TCC Photo set

Lastly, I was incredibly encouraged by some edifying conversation outside the TCC.  For lunch Friday, I met with three pastors with over 60 years experience in ministry which I hope to talk about.  Not only that, but immediately after the conference Sunday afternoon, there was a scheduled meet-up in my hometown with a couple of guys at Starbucks.  Well, it ended up with 7 guys, including David Thew who has planted the first Acts 29 church in Alabama.  It was a lot of fun to be around such like-minded and kindred hearts in my hometown.

Anyway, I thought it would be helpful to let you know where I am going this week.  If you have any questions or comments, be sure to let me know.

  1. It *was* a lot of fun. Thank you for giving your time to the group. I think the Lord used you in each of our lives.

I look forward to what you’ve got coming up — but get through finals first, eh.

  2. Andy,

Thanks man. I hope to have to time to elaborate on some of what we talked about soon. It was great to finally meet you, and I look forward to hearing about what God is doing in your life and the lives of others who were present. Have a blessed week brother.

  3. Hi Timmy,

We didn’t make it to the conference and I didn’t see till today that you were live-blogging. Hubby and I are reading through your transcripts. Thanks so much for taking the time to share them!

    Your photos are really FANTASTIC!

    Hope your finals go well!

    God bless,
    Bretta

  4. Bretta,

Thanks for commenting! One final down; one to go. 😉

I hope the posts and pics are helpful. I am thinking about how I could have done it better. If you or anyone else have any thoughts, I would love the feedback.

    Blessings,

    Timmy

  5. Timmy,
Some prof should give you extra credit for this conference. Your notes are very thorough for a live blog. You may have been getting close to transcript. Great work.

  6. Thanks Tony. I did a word count of my posts, and I think it comes to the equivalent of a 67 page paper (20,000 + words). I didn’t realize it was that much! It was fun though.

  7. Hello Brother,
I had the pleasure and great joy of going to the conference. Your comments were amazing and very in depth. I don’t see how you did it. I was so overwhelmed with the truth and depth of the information given I was unable to take a note. But I am a starving man in a spiritual wasteland. But I’m full now. God Bless you Brother, Soli Deo Gloria.

  8. Chris,

Thanks for the comment. I had several at the conference tell me they were relieved from note-taking because they knew I was covering it on the blog; therefore, they could reflect and enjoy the messages with the ability to go back and review the content through the notes available on my posts. Perhaps they could be of some use to you as well.

I pray that God can use me to be an encouragement to you. God bless you brother.

    Timmy
