Tim has a missionary heart for his hometown to love those close to him yet far from God. He is husband to Dusti and father to Nolan, Aiden, and Adelyn - fellow pilgrims to our celestial city.

Hopefully little Nolan’s long life will be as exciting as his entrance to the world! Although Dusti was scheduled to be induced yesterday morning, Nolan decided he was ready about 30 minutes after she went to bed on the night before. After 18 hours of labor, Nolan arrived at 6:44 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 22 inches long. Mother and baby are well. Timmy and Dusti want you to know how much they appreciate your prayers. They are blessed with a host of friends and family who have loved, supported and encouraged them and they are eternally grateful. Timmy will not have his computer but I (Brad Hughes the proud uncle and “guest blogger”) will pass along your comments.

“Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.” Psalm 127: 3-5

  1. What a blessing to have children – my wife and were blessed with three sons – it was tough at time but three Born Again sons later now two grand kids and the joy is there again. Children are a blessing to all families. Much joy and love to you and your family. Grace Larry

  2. Congratulations. May Nolan grow up as wise as his folks! Nolan’s long life will be eternal. Praise the LORD God Almighty.

  3. Congratulations to the Bristers! We expect 500 photos posted on Flicker by the end of the day as well as a full hyperlinks-bibliography of everything relevant to “The Influence of Carl Henry on Calvinism and Childbirth in the SBC”.
    Love you guys, the Lambs.

  4. Congratulations!! Wasn’t God great in allowing Dusti to go into labor on her own? There is nothing more exciting than that! I am happy to hear mom and baby are well.
Be sure to post LOTS of pictures for us to enjoy. Rejoicing with you!
“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights…..”

  5. For the record,
I guessed his birthdate as Dec. 18th and the weight at 8 pounds 2 oz. (on the make your predictions Blog post)! Must say I am quite impressed with myself—-that’s pride talking. 🙂 Being a mom of 7 has finally paid off, eh? Ha.Ha.

  6. Timmy and Dusti,
Congratulations brother! What a great addition to the family. I can’t wait to see him. This will be a memorable Christmas indeed!

PS – Hi Brad. How you durrin”?

  7. Congrats! I’m sure that Nolan will be every bit of fun that our little Abigail is!

We were singing “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” for our family worship the other night and it was amazing looking at Abigail (only 5 weeks old) and thinking that Jesus was roughly the same size at one point, the Creator and Sustainer of everything was so small and helpless. Remarkable! David is right, it is a fantastic reminder of the One who “did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.”

  8. Adam and I send our congratulations! Been waiting to here if everything is well. I’m so glad Dusti and Nolan are good and I know you all are very happy. Praise the Lord!! It truly is amazing isn’t it! I am planning on stopping in any seeing ya’ll at Baptist East tonight after 6pm. I work tonight at Baptist East also so I will be there all night if you all need anything. Blessings to you all!! Posted by Holly

  9. Congratulations, Timmy!

I remember my first Christmas with a newborn a few years ago. There’s nothing quite like having your own son to realize just how amazing the incarnation is… that God took on the flesh of a helpless, vulnerable baby.

    Merry Christmas!

  10. Praises to Your name, O Lord, Praises to Your name!

May you be richly blessed in this new era in your lives. My the guidance of the Holy Spirit never leave you nor forsake you, nor leave you confused as to what to do!

  11. Wonderful news — Congratulations! “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward” (Psalm 127:3). My heart rejoices when I know the Lord has given a child to strong believers who will raise their child to know and love Christ Jesus our Lord. Glory be to God!

  12. Y’all know that I have been waiting and praying anxiously with you since before Nolan was even in the womb…I cannot tell you the joy in my heart for you and love I already have for my sweet little adopted nephew 🙂 …who I plan to see sometime very soon! I am praying with you daily for him and for you and cannot wait to talk to the proud parents soon!!
