  1. Sunday, I returned from visiting people in the slums of India for the third year (probably a step up from much of Haiti according to the photos and accounts I’ve heard).

    For example, one sister in Christ I met with had lost hope of affording the medical care she needs when her husband died 4 months ago. Since then, she’s been self-diagnosing and operating on herself in an attempt to repair her body. I saw some of the scars where she cut into and sewed herself back together. At least she had a knife, a needle and thread.

    Most people in the US really don’t have a clue.
