Dr. Frank Page is currently the president of the Southern Baptist Convention as well as the pastor of Taylors First Baptist Church. Dr. Page is a graduate of Gardner Webb University (B.S.) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div and Ph.D).
“We have said to the world, ‘Merry Christmas! Buy your own gift.’ When we have lived in such a way to contradict the message, we have said, ‘Buy your own gift.’ We are duty bound to find a way to help the world know how they can receive the gift. It is of extreme importance in my mind.”
[The Scriptures] directly impacts the future of the CP. Such a passage is Philippians 1:12-20. This passage speaks directly to the issue of Baptist Identity. This text shows forth from Paul’s experience what should be our mindset, our motive, and our methodology.
** Note: As Dr. Page began this message, I soon realize that I had already blogged this message. If you want my notes, you can find it at the post, “We’re on the Same Team!” (a message which Page spoken at SBTS chapel last semester). However, I have some pictures for you pictured below.
