Piper’s recent sermon “Put on the Lord Jesus Christ” deals with an important verse in which Paul talks about not being asleep. Though it does not specifically address regeneration and salvation, the text does speak of how someone who is awakened is to act. Could it be that many people in our church are “sleepwalking”? Could it be that this is the time for a “wake-up” call?
I believe part two of this text is coming this week. I am looking forward to hearing more exposition on this incredible text. By the way, did you know that this passage is the very verses that “awakened” Augustine of Hippo to new life in Christ? Talk about an awakening!!!
