Tim has a missionary heart for his hometown to love those close to him yet far from God. He is husband to Dusti and father to Nolan, Aiden, and Adelyn - fellow pilgrims to our celestial city.

From Carolyn McCulley:

All of the MP3 messages on the Sovereign Grace Store have just been made free to download. You can sort by topic, by event, or by speaker.

Want to check out C.J.’s messages? You just have to sort by his name. You can also find messages by other Sovereign Grace pastors such as Bob Kauflin, Josh Harris, Jeff Purswell, and Dave Harvey. Or you can find messages by guest speakers such as Al Mohler, Wayne Grudem, Mark Dever, Randy Alcorn, John Piper, David Powlison, Ken Sande, R.C. Sproul, Bruce Ware, and more.

You can also find messages from the GirlTalkers: Carolyn Mahaney, Nicole Whitacre, Kristin Chesemore, and Janelle Bradshaw.

How about specific topics? If you need messages on Bible doctrine–the essential teachings of the Christian faith–you can find them on the store. You can also find messages on a wide range of topics, such as biblical counseling, modesty, finances, marriage, parenting, and much more.

  1. Timmy,

I have noticed that you have started posting a lot more about SGM…i love it because of the fact i am graduating for Boyce this winter and am pursuing the Pastors College of SGM. I was wondering if you are considering what has been discussed on your blog before which was the mass exodus of “talent” from the SBC…..your thoughts?

  2. Sovereign Grace is a wonderful ministry–one that I hope to point many Southern Baptists. This semester I am taking a long, careful look at the church planting models of Acts 29, Sovereign Grace, and NAMB/Nehemiah Project. While I recognize that there is a real (and tragic) exodus of young men and women from the SBC, I plan on hanging around (that is not to say that I was not really frustrated and depressed earlier this summer).

One of the things I really like about Sovereign Grace is how intentional they are in applying the gospel to people’s lives. While other ministries find their strengths in biblical theology or systematic theology, I find Sovereign Grace’s strength in practical theology.

I am still relatively new to Sovereign Grace and have a heightened interest in learning more about their philosophy of ministry (and church planting). I presume that the fact they just made their MP3 messages available for free, my inquisition should be adequately satisfied.
